CONTINUOUS MEDICAL EDUCATION TRAINING COURSE
Basic Bio-molecular Laboratory Techniques
From 20/08/2018 to 07/09/2018, the Biomedical Research Center – University of
Medicine Pham Ngoc Thach, approved by the Center’s Director, Assoc. Professor., Ph.D.
M.D., Pham Dang Dieu, organized a continuous medical education (C/M.E) training
course named “Basic Biomolecular Laboratory Techniques” with the teaching panel
consisting of University of Medicine Pham Ngoc Thach staff, who are professionals in
the field of Molecular Biology.
The course aims to equip modern knowledge and practical skills in biomedical
research for currently employed technical and teaching personnel in University of
Medicine Pham Ngoc Thach and different medical organizations in Ho Chi Minh city, so
that they can participate effectively in the field of biomedical research.
The course consists of 64 lessons, of which 32 periods are devoted to teaching
theories about the principles and mechanisms of molecular biology techniques that have
been applied in the field of biomedical medicine, while the remaining 32 periods are
devoted to the theory. for the practice of basic Molecular Biology techniques in
biomedical laboratories and laboratories such as PCR, and Real-time PCR.
Participants include 50% from University of Medicine Pham Ngoc Thach, The
Family Clinic under University of Medicine Pham Ngoc Thach, and hospitals in Ho Chi
Minh City such as Cancer Hospital and District 2 Hospital. Participants present in all
required sessions and pass pre-course and final assessments will be considered qualified
and would be received a CME certificate.
